Booking an appointment

In this article, you will read how to book an appointment with your healthcare provider. Please follow these steps:
InfoImportant before you start:
Cannot see the + Appointment button or getting an error message? This means your GP practice has (temporarily) disabled online bookings.
You will not be able to follow the guide below. Check the solutions on the Help with appointments page.

Step 1: Open your appointments

You can go to your appointments in two ways:
  1. Click on the Appointments button in the middle of the dashboard.

  1. Or click on Appointments in the menu on the left side.

Step 2: Start a new appointment

What you see next depends on your planned appointments:
  1. Do you already have an appointment planned? Then you will see the + Appointment button on the right side.
  2. Click on this to book a new appointment.

  1. Do you have no appointments planned yet? Then you will see the + New appointment button in the middle, and the + Appointment button in the top right corner.
  2. You can click either button to start.

Step 3: Read the advice

You will now enter the first screen. Here you will find some important advice before you continue.



Do you want to book the appointment? Click on Next.


Step 4: Choose your healthcare provider

First, choose the role of the healthcare provider you want to see (for example, the GP or the assistant).



Next, the names of the healthcare providers will appear.
  1. Click on the right person
  2. And click on Next.

Step 5: Fill in the reason for your appointment

Please state why you want to book an appointment. Describe your complaint as clearly as possible. Think about:
  1. What is causing the complaint?
  2. How long have you been suffering from it?
  3. Are you in a lot of pain?
Have you filled in everything? Click on Next.



Step 6: Choose the appointment type, date, and time

Are there multiple options? First, choose the Appointment type (for example, an appointment at the clinic or a phone call).
Next, choose the date you would like to come.



After choosing the date, the available times will appear. Click on the time that suits you best.
Click on the Schedule appointment button.


Step 7: Check and confirm your appointment

A new window will open. This shows an overview of all the details you have filled in.



Is everything correct? Click on the Confirm button. Your appointment is now finalised in HealthApp.



After clicking confirm, you will automatically return to your overview of planned appointments. You will see your new appointment listed there straight away.
A brief message will also appear on the screen: 'The appointment has been scheduled'.
Your appointment has now been successfully saved in HealthApp!


Can I change my scheduled appointment?

    No, it is currently not possible to change or cancel a scheduled appointment. 

    If it is necessary to change or cancel the appointment, please contact your GP.

    Tip: Double-check the date and time before confirming the appointment. This will save you extra work later on.
