In HealthApp, you can securely send messages to your healthcare provider and receive messages from them.
Important: Can I always send a message?
Your medical practice decides if patients can send messages through the app. In addition, there may be another reason why sending a message is not possible:
- Has your practice turned this feature off? Then you cannot start a new message yourself. You will see a notification on the screen explaining this. Receiving messages from your healthcare provider is still possible in this situation.
- Is your email address unknown to the practice? The HealthApp needs your email address to use the messaging system. If your email address is not in our system yet, you cannot send or receive any messages. You will see a notification on the screen when you click on Messages. If this happens, please contact your medical practice to give them your email address.
How do I know if I have a new message?
On the dashboard, you can see if there is a new message for you in two ways:
- In the menu on the left side, there is an orange dot next to the word Messages.
- In the middle of the dashboard, there is a number in the Messages block.
