Help with logging in - DigID

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with DigiD while trying to log in to HealthApp. Below you will find the most common situations and their solutions.

I do not have a DigiD or Citizen Service Number (BSN)

DigiD is your digital identity for government and healthcare services. HealthApp uses DigiD to securely link your account to your medical records at your GP practice.

Do you lack a Dutch BSN? Unfortunately, you cannot apply for a DigiD, and it will not be possible to use HealthApp. We cannot change this for you. Please contact your GP practice to discuss how they can assist you in a different way.

I am unable to log in with DigiD

DigiD offers several ways to log in securely. You can find these methods here: https://www.digid.nl/inlogmethodes.

Are you having trouble logging in? It might be that DigiD is experiencing a service disruption.

I cannot log in due to a DigiD service disruption

Sometimes DigiD experiences a nationwide outage or undergoes maintenance. During these times, logging in to HealthApp will unfortunately not work either.

Why can I not log in using an SMS code?

HealthApp contains your personal and sensitive medical information. The government requires us to protect this data with the highest level of security.

Logging in with a standard SMS code is unfortunately no longer secure enough. For this reason, the government no longer allows this method for new medical applications.

The DigiD app provides much stronger security. Therefore, you can only log in to HealthApp using the DigiD app or via the identity check with your passport, ID card, or driving licence.
